The Brockenbahn
If you want to get to know the Harz Mountains in a very special way, you shouldn't miss the Brockenbahn. On the tracks, the steam locomotive takes you across the Harz Mountains and up to the Brocken, the highest peak in northern Germany. The journey by steam locomotive from the main station in Wernigerode takes a good hour and 40 minutes.

- Family day ticket for 2 adults and 3 children (up to 15 years): € 135.00
- One-way ticket for adults: € 67.00
- Children under 6 years travel free of charge
