When a hotel team gets up in the morning with a special feeling of anticipation, something big is often about to happen. For us at the Panoramic Hotel in Bad Lauterberg, this moment came on December 4, 2025. We were awarded two important certificates in Hanover: “Kinderferienland Niedersachsen” and “ServiceQualität Deutschland”. This is a great sign that our daily commitment to families, couples and anyone looking for a break with us is being recognized.

Kinderferienland Niedersachsen – Focus on family friendliness

The Kinderferienland Niedersachsen certificate means a lot to us. We have been working for years to create a place for children and their parents that is uncomplicated, safe and full of wonderful experiences. Our large swimming pool and sauna area, the Beaver Club with childcare and creative activities as well as many small details in everyday life contribute to this.

To receive the award again, we underwent extensive testing – from safety issues to our equipment and service. All the better that we were able to meet these requirements once again.

ServiceQualität Deutschland – reliably high standards

In addition to family friendliness, good processes, friendly communication and a high level of service understanding are also important to us. The Germany-wide ServiceQualität Deutschland certificate confirms just that.

This makes us one of over 1,100 establishments that have consciously opted for quality management. For our guests, this means clear processes, trained employees and a hotel that is continuously developing.

Here too, we believe that quality is not a one-off project, but an ongoing process. That’s why we regularly adapt our offers – from extended services to new ideas in hotel furnishings.

Certifications in Lower Saxony tourism

For years, Lower Saxony has been committed to programs that improve tourism offers and focus on guest orientation. The two awards that we have been given are part of this major quality initiative.

• Kinderferienland Niedersachsen: Since 2011, businesses that are particularly accommodating to families have been recognized. More than 350 accommodations, attractions and restaurants have already received the seal of quality.
• ServiceQualität Deutschland: This system for small and medium-sized businesses has been in existence since 2004, and over 4,400 Q-Coaches have been trained throughout Germany – an impressive network for better services.
